From time to time we list recipes that are not what would be considered a ‘normal’ recipe because it doesn’t pertain actual food, but maybe herbs, teas or supplements. Just as we are doing today, we will give you our secret recipe on how to increase neutrophils naturally. This is not meant to replace any medical treatment and you should consult your physician before starting any new diet. However, there has been many personal successes with this plan including with myself and family.

The Plan To Boost Your ANC/White Blood Cells at Least A Week Before Repeat Lab Work:

Adults

1) Drink a cup of brewed green tea at least once a day. Add some honey to sweeten it. We do not recommend pre-packaged tea. Please get the green tea bags and make your own for the best results. Do not use imitation honey.how-to-increase-neutrophils-naturally

2) For adults take the recommended max daily dose of Vitamin C, Zinc, Vitamin D & K2.

For example, someone between the age of 31-50 can take up to 2000 mg of Vitamin C.

You can check your recommended dose on Fitwatch.com. Sometimes the recommended dose might be less than or a little more than what your supplement brand comes in, however, we have never had an issue with taking more or less. But use your best judgement.

3) Drink your recommended daily water intake. We prefer spring water.

This will help your ANC levels improve drastically from what we have experienced. It’s very possible that you can raise your levels within 24/48 hours of getting your blood drawn.

For Children:

For babies up to 3 years old, we recommend Hyland’s Vitamin C Tablets or something similar.

In children ages 4-13 Emergen-C  for kids Vitamin C drink packets mix is a great option to boost their count. Teens might have to drink a little more than recommended in the instructions. If you cannot get them to drink it, you can always try a different form like a chew-able.

Ongoing Plan:

Ongoing for both adults and children it is ideal that you maintain taking your supplement(s) everyday or every other day. At the very least for adults when it comes to supplements, you should be taking Vitamin C everyday. Of course you do not have to take the max dose, the recommended max dose is better suited for when you are sick or need a quick boost in your WBC.

Note: If you are on any kind of medication you should make sure the supplements are okay to take. From personal experiences, the supplements will not be an issue as long as you do not take it directly with your other prescriptions. Your local pharmacist might will look at your medicine list and tell you if there are any problems. Or call your doctor’s office and speak to the nurse. But as a safety precaution never take your medication with anything that has not been prescribed by your doctor. You should space it out a bit.

FAQs

Can I just eat certain types of foods to boost my white blood cells rather than taking supplements?

Our personal opinion from experience is that food alone will not give you what you need to boost your WBC quick enough to show improvements on your blood work. We do believe that eating a balance diet that contains all of the good vitamins and minerals will help long term. Even then, some people still need the help of at least daily dose of Vitamin C to maintain. One reason is because the quality of food now days are pretty poor.

Where can I get these supplements at a great price locally?

We have found much success at Walmart and Dollar General. If you do not have one of these stores in your area, you can call around and inquire about price. If all fails, try ordering online at Amazon. But if you need to boost your WBC asap, then ordering online would not be the best choice.

What if I cannot afford all these supplements?

At the very least, you would need to purchase the Vitamin C. If you have a Dollar Tree in your area go by there and see if they have it. Sometimes Dollar Tree have some decent supplements for just $1.00. We have used them too! It’s better than not taking anything while on a budget.
